In order to save time diving through VMware sites, here you can find some links I´ve found useful:

VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes, here you can find the compatibility between any two given products/suites (e.g.: which vSphere versions are manageable from a vCenter given version). Also the compatibility of products with databases (e.g.: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server).
All downloads of product installation media (my.vmware.com account required):

Downloads for vSphere suites. A license key is needed to use the product. Within the suite you will find, among others, ESXi hypervisor and vCenter Server, including the vCenter virtual appliance, aka VCVA:

Free versions of the ESXi hypervisor, which are featured limited (e.g.: not manageable from vCenter Server) but without time usage constratints. These are the opposite of evaluation versions, unlimited in features but for 90 days usage only. The license key is generated when requesting the download:
